Photography DSLR Basics and Intermediate Classes are now being offered at the Jilly  Bean Photography Studio in Medway, MA!

Step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to understand the capacities of your DSLR camera!

I can not tell you how many times I’ve heard over the years,

“I have an awesome camera but I honestly don’t know how to use it.  I just keep it in auto mode and nothing ever comes out how it want it.  {SIGH}”.

Folks!  I’m here to answer your photography questions and to help turn your dust collecting gear into one of your all time most prized possessions!

You purchased that camera for a reason.  Chances are it was to document who or what you love most in life.  Put that passion into your photography education and you’ll capture incredible memories for years to come!

Word on the street:

Jill’s photography class made me WANT to play with my camera again! I had purchased my first ever real camera about a year and a half ago. Occasionally, I got lucky and had some nice shots but became frustrated with my hit or miss approach. Jill explained many of the modes and functions in a way that absolutely made sense. We also explored the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO and were able to practice with Jill’s one on one assistance. Because of this class, I can’t wait to get out there and take some photos! Thanks Jill!!!

-Kim, Basics Student

I took Jill’s Intermediate Photography class over the weekend and I would highly recommend her classes (this was my second). I understood the way she explained the balance between aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Getting to practice and ask her questions while shooting was really helpful as well. I am inspired to shoot only in manual mode going forward! I look forward to future opportunities on location and feedback. Thanks again Jill!

-Tammy, Intermediate Student

I took Jill’s Intermediate Photography course a few days ago. I’ve tried teaching myself from books before but always gave up and went back to shooting in the auto modes. Jill did a great job of explaining exactly how ISO, aperture, and exposure work together, and how to change the settings on my camera. I was comfortably shooting still lifes in manual by the end of the night. Definitely highly recommend Jill’s classes!

-Katie, Intermediate Student

Jill, Your Photography class was wonderful. I have a better idea of the settings on my camera now that I have had for over 3 years and have kept in on “auto mode”. I now will be able to take the photos that I have always wanted to do. Since your class I have taken my camera out everyday. Can wait to take another class of yours in the future.

-Gloria, Basics Student
