IS A MINI SESSION RIGHT FOR YOU?
Mini sessions are geared towards families who want to be able to capture a family portrait, as well as get some individual shots of their children without having to pay the session fee (AND receive some great discounts on digital files as well!). Minis are limited to 20 minutes only and are only scheduled at a specific date, time and location. Session fees are collected at booking and are non-transferable and non-refundable. All digital files are downloadable through Dropbox. If you would like a thumb drive of your files then it’s $30/ thumb drive plus tax on the entire mini session.
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
“I would like to be able to print these to be used as our family portrait for our holiday cards this year. Is that possible?”
Absolutely! You receive print release on your digital files so you can print as liberally as you choose! I however only recommend Mpix.com, Tiny Prints or Minted.com for print purposes. All full sized files are transferred to you via Dropbox.
“Would it be possible to bring our pet as a part of our family photo?”
Of course! However, photographing pets is like working with toddlers… you are never certain how they will do during the session. I would definitely recommend bringing your pet along and seeing how he or she cooperates! If it’s working great. After a few shots with your four legged friend I recommend putting him or her in your car and doing the remainder of the session with just your family.
“I have 3 small children and I would like to get individual portraits of all 3 of them, sibling shots, and a family shot. Is this possible during a mini session?”
While some families can be photographed quickly and get this amount of images, I can not guarantee that you will get all these different types of images during a mini session. If you have concerns about this and know that this is what you are looking for, then I suggest booking a full session, where you are guaranteed to get those types of shots.
“Our family just welcomed a baby this summer and we would like portraits of the baby and a family photo. Is this possible during a mini session?”
Absolutely! However, due to time constraints if you have an unhappy baby then I can not extend the time session by any amount. You will be restricted to 20 minutes, outdoor shots only (we will reschedule in the event of rainy weather).
“It’s raining! What do we do?”
I will reschedule for the exact same time slots for the following Sunday, the 26th. I will notify you at least 2 hours prior to your shoot if we need to reschedule. We do not reschedule due to cold weather, so bundle up if necessary!
“We will be traveling the weekend of the 19th. Can we book a mini session the following weekend or another time during the week?”
Unfortunately I’m able to waive the session fee and provide great quality images at a discount because I’m able to do sessions back to back on this date only. If you need another date then I recommend trying to book a full session.
“Our family has always wanted a session at the Cape. Can you do a 20 minute mini session at a location our of choice?”
Again, I’m only able to waive the session fee because I’m able to do sessions back to back on this date only. If you would like a different location then I recommend trying to book a full session.
“What do we wear?”
Coordinating your family outfits can be overwhelming! Once you book with me I’ll provide plenty of tips that will help you style your family in clothing and colors that will make a huge impact in your photos.
“Can we bring more than one outfit?”
You can bring along as many outfits as you would like, however, we only have 20 minutes. Due to the time constraint of a mini I suggest one layered outfit per person where people can take off the top layers and get different looks.
“We love our images! Can we print these through your pro lab?”
Absolutely! In fact, anything larger than an 8x 10 I recommend printing through my pro lab which is collaborated to my monitor for optimum color and exposure. In addition, mini session clients receive 10% off all canvases and 20% off all prints when pre-ordered the day of your session. Want to order more after your session? No problem!
“I’m ready to book! What do I do now?”
Contact Jill at Jill@JillyBean-Photography.com for booking. All appointments are booked on a first come, first serve basis. All appointments are 20 minutes long and are scheduled on the hour and 1/2 hour from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. There is a $200 order minimum collected at booking. If you wish to upgrade your collection you can do so after your session and pay the difference. Payments are accepted in the form of cash, check or credit card.
